Bumbo Love

We fell in love with the Bumbo when we started feeding Carly baby food.
Add a tray to the Bumbo and the love is...Bumbonormous! GiBumboGantic! It allows her to sit up (because only babies lay down) without toppling over.
Sure, it gives her something to loudly clang her toys on, but we can also load the tray up with toys and it takes her several minutes before she has thrown ALL of them off of the tray. Put the boppy around the base of the Bumbo and it actually catches some toys so that she can reach out for them.
YaaaaaaaaaaY Bumbo!

Clark Landscaping

Our front yard landscaping needed some TLC. And a LOT of it! Freddy mows the lawn and weed eats on a regular basis, but neither one of us has taken an interest in the landscaping. Until last weekend, that is, when we couldn't take the ugliness anymore.
Ugly plants in the front row - Out.

Big rocks deep in the flower bed - Out. (this was my one and only job)

And this picture...this is a picture of the frog that tormented Lola all morning. Well, this one and about three others. What would she have done had she caught it? Yuck!

Pretty white stone things - In.
And now our front yard landscaping is presentable.
Some day, maybe next spring, we'll add another row of plants or flowers...

Thanks to our neighbors, Austin and Josh, for helping!
Thanks, Sara, for supervising.
Thanks to Melissa for...oh...well...never mind.

Two-Word Pictures

Give me.
Yummy Bubbles.

Foot Rest.

Touch Down (Is that only one word? Oops!)

Nana

My parents went to Minnesota to visit friends and family. They watch Carly while Freddy and I are at work, so we needed a Plan B for the 7 work days they were gone. Insert Nana.
Nana stayed with us for three days. I don't think Carly napped very much, but she sure did have fun! The evidence is below...Carly CRASHED after her last bottle of the day.
Thanks, Nana, for taking the time off from work to help us out. We are so lucky to have you!

Mastered: Double-Layer Boutique Bow

I wanted to learn how to make different kinds of bows for Carly, so I watched a how-to video on youtube and now I can make "double-layered boutique bows". Total cost for ribbon - $5 - and that will make AT LEAST 5 bows that I can share with friends. This bow alone would have cost $5-7, which makes me a "Frugal Bow Artist", does it not?

Photo Shoot Gone bad

Carly always looks adorable, but there was one day a few weeks ago when she looked particularly adorable.
So I busted out the camera and asked Melissa to prop up Carly while I took pictures of her in the backyard.
She was distracted by Lola running around in a craze, taunting the dogs that live behind us.

She was distracted by Lola's generous displays of affection.
Then she spit up.
Then Lola helped clean her up.
I got one OKAY picture.

I will not be deterred.

Smiley Photo Shoot

When Carly is happy and smiley it is almost guaranteed that mommy will whip out her camera to capture the happiness in a Smiley Photo Shoot.
