Down Time

Hello, friends.

I dropped my camera last week. I broke it. The insides are turning, but strange, strange sounds are coming out of it and no pictures can be taken. Off it went to Best Buy. Thank you, sweet husband, for knowing that I would do something like this and for buying the super-duper warranty that covers breakage from droppage.

As you may be able to guess, my blog is going to have some down time. Unless I can get Shelby to bring me that thing-a-ma-jig that allows me to download pics from my memory card without the camera.

On the bright side...I kinda hope they can't fix it and have to give me a new one. Did I mention that they don't make the Nikon D40 anymore and I think that the "comparable" camera is the Nikon D3000 - a bit of an upgrade. Fingers crossed that I broke it beyond repair.

Wouldn't it be handy?

I have SO MANY blog-worthy stories that, sadly, you will never hear. Not because I don't like you, blog followers. No. You won't hear them for fear that the person they are about might read my blog and rip me a new one.

Wouldn't it be handy to have a list of people who read your blog and know that no one outside of that list would EVER read what you wrote?

But if ever you are in town, call me up. We'll have a cocktail and I will tell all - except for the stories about you, of course.

March To-Do's

We've had a lot going on lately. Needless to say, I never did get around to making up a February to-do list.
However, I FINALLY cleaned my closet! (Pause for applause)

Update on January To-Do's:
I did try a new restaurant - Martha's. That's where I had "stocktails", remember?

I also made a new header for my blog. Yay! - Now if I can just get a free tutorial from Lauren on how to center and align it all.

I did not, however, replace the broken blinds in our bedroom. Boo!
But we all know the rule by this point - what doesn't get done one month carries over to the next.

Even though March is nearly half way over, I still want to make a March to-do list.
1. Make my own salad dressing

2. SCRUB the kitchen floor until it shines (figuratively, of course)!
Swiffer Wets don't count and no, even the Steam Shark thingy doesn't count - I'm talking a bucket, a washcloth and me on my knees scrubbing away. Hello, elbow grease!

3. Send 5 cards to people I care about (birthdays dont' count).

One...Two...Three...GO!

Thirteen Love

As you can see, I have officially changed the name of my blog to Thirteen Love. Why Thirteen Love? Because Freddy and I were married on the 13th and Carly was born on the 13th. I have much love for the 13th.

When I asked for feedback on a new blog title, Lydia made a good point. What if our next child (not planned yet, so don't go there) is not born on the 13th? Well, friend, I thought of that, too. But since I have to schedule the birth (c-section) of every child from here on out, I can PICK the 13th for his/her birthday. See? Just another benefit of having your child cut out of you.

Here are some pictures of sweet Carly D for your enjoyment.

My friend Amanda took these for us for her 2nd birthday invitation.
She did an AMAZING job, don't you think?
She can take YOUR pictures, too!

And since Blogger hates me and won't let me upload more pictures right now, I will have to do a separate post about her totally adorable invitation whose theme and wording were 100% high jacked from my friend, Melanie.
